WEEK 9 (21/11/25)
Mr. Hafiz review our progress and gave feedbacks during offline class.
INTRODUCTION
Task 3
We were asked to create a typographic poster that should convey the selected "quote of the day" through the typography. We were stricted to only use sans-serif typfaces and A4 canvas in Illustrator.
Reference
First of all, I find inspiration from pinterest and also some source that Mr.Hafiz provided in Google Classrom. I also took Jessica Hische's art as my reference. I like the third picture it looks like a door and will take it as my reference for sketch. Because I want the theme of fairytale, I searched for princess, castle and related image.
For my design concept, I would like to represent a door/gate where I am entering into it (the fairytale).
With first sketch, I have come out with this output, Mr.Hafiz gave feedback that the background and surroundings overpower the typography itself and it does not really tells the message and told me to change something in order to fix it.
Therefore, I came up with second sketch. I decide to go with a simpler one but still convey the message to audience.

Digitise
- First, I start by searching for fonts that relate to my theme. As Mr. Hafiz approved to find from dafont, I found 2 sans-serif typfaces that suits to my design.
Typefaces : Aesthetic Romance Regular & Odin Bold
Aesthetic Romance Regular for 'sparkle' and 'fairytale'.
Odin Bold for 'be the' and 'in your own'.
Below is the raw font, before I modify.

I try to modufy the word 'sparkle' I use pencil tool to edit the font. After several trial and error, I come up with this design.

Fig 2.7 Progress #1
The typhographic quote still looks so simple so I decided to use one of the Illustrator techniques that Mr. Hafiz has taught us. I use 3D effect, i tried all extrude, revolve, inflate and decided to use inflate because it gives off curved and playfull effect. Then I proceed to chage the material into 'Gold natural'.
