REFLECTIONS

Experience

This module has gave me a lot of new experiences from using Premiere Pro and Adobe Audition, to doing production shooting, audio dubbing, and VFX editing. I may face challenges during the process, especially doing color grading, however, I found the process valuable, exciting and has help me develop skills in many ways. This module also include teamwork and collaboration with friends and exploring creativity together.

Observation

The process of editing need a lot of focus and patience. Trimming, alligning, syncing voice, adding sound effect, background music, applying VFX effect and a lot more must be done step by step with a lot of details and attention needed. Shooting even one scene takes time and planning. I also observed that flexibility in the creative process often leads to better outcomes, and feedback from Mr. Martin was very helpful for the final project.

Findings

Do not chase for perfection as in arts. Especially in video production there is no need of perfection, just art and creativity. I have also realized that simple-looking video effects doesn't mean easy to execute, it  require time and precision. Having reference is important to guid us, whether it is shot size, color or mood. Overall,  I’ve gained a lot understanding of video production, editing, and sound shaping, and I now more appreciate the effort behind every artpiece.
